Best first programming language?

Hi guys, its bunneh and I am thinking of taking computer sciences in highschool... sooo.
I was thinking either java or python, here is what I have come too.
Python(VERY, easy syntax, object oriented)
Java(Multiple Platform, object oriented)
C++(object orientated, old?)
No visual basic please, i would REALLY like to do python first, be amazing if some of you guys could recommend python books to me.
