People get rumors that 1 person will stand up and drive spaceships to a new planet on December 20... TRUE OR FALSE?

Anyway... December 22, 2012 WE ARE ALIVE! DOOMSDAY IS FAKE WHO EVER STARTED IT MUST DIE..

People said the same thing about 2000.. Might recall, it actually didn't happen .. Then again, people said the same thing for the last.. Hm. 20 centuries. BTW: The entire December 21st thing began when a few Stoners said the Mayan calendar ends there - As such, the world too. But.. If you were to have any sort of independent-thinking Mind rather then a bandwagon, you'd see that the Mayan calendar ends there.. and then begins a new one, nothing to do with Apocalyptic events, just a new calendar..

Wonder what they said before the Mayans made The current calendar? Also does it compensate for Leap years adding a day every 4 years? So the calender was made sometime in BC. Just to make things easier lets say it was made year 0. so its now 2012, divided by 4 is 503. So thats a whole 503 days added because of leap year. so... if we take Dec 21 2012 and subtract those days added AFTER the calendar existed. We get Saturday, August 6, 2011. Guess that means we're all dead right now. Or... Doomsday is fake?

Who wants to factor in Daylight savings time invented by... Ben Franklin? I believe. Who was not a Mayan ;)

Also, umm if the calendars ended, just think.. THE MAYANS WERE WIPED OUT. can't make a calendar when you're dead.

Some people of Mayan descent are still alive. They don't believe in doomsday at all.

Twinkies don't go bad, and besides, hostess went out of buisiness...

Technically, they do go bad, like, they turn hard as rockish ;)

Oh yeah about the doomsday stuff...my teacher explained to my class how they did not know about leap years, so technically it should have happened already. Also, Y2K was also a supposed doomsday, but it never happened, now did it? Anyways, that's what I think.

..Leap years were a post-Mayan invention by Man. Therefore, if you base it off their Calendar, Leap Years don't exist nor accounted for. Meaning that argument is rendered pointless.. Just thought I'd point it out..
